Improved WiFi range & VPN server

Hi all,

Still a bit stuck for recommendations for improved WiFi range router with logging and also an option to use as a VPN server. Does anyone use something similar that's an improvement over the hub one?

Thanks all!

Re: Improved WiFi range & VPN server

TP-Link Archer VR600 would tick both the improved WiFi Range and VPN server boxes and is based on a broadcom chipset.

Cheapest I could find it was £55 on John Lewis web site

The manual is here if you want to look it first:

Great,

Funnily enough i found the VR400 , however it seems the VR600 V2 is actually cheaper! So ill plump for that instead! Thanks for this. Really helpful

Re: Improved WiFi range & VPN server

If I were looking for a new router I'd probably go for one of the Asus routers that support OpenVPN as that's much more secure than PPTP, L2TP. Also the ASUS routers get a good reception here.

I have a VR600 & the Wi-Fi is good on that. Strangely it doesn't support VPN. Possibly it's an earlier model.

Re: Improved WiFi range & VPN server

Thanks for that. I did research ASUS also it was my original choice. I've checked the website from TPlink and the VR600 V2 supports open vpn. V1 isn't listed though so I assume the newer version does. I was planning on Open Vpn so glad I checked thanks
