I have repurposed a spare plusnet hub one to replace a hub zero on ADSL for a friend who is a a current plusnet customer.
The connection seems to drop at least once a day on the hub 1 whereas the hub zero would maintain a connection for 2weeks.
The firmware on the hub 1 Is quite old
Plusnet Hub One | Software version 4.7.5.1.83.8.237.2.2
It won't update automatically as it seems to be on the cease list.
I am happy to pm the account details over to a staff member
Thanks
Fixed! Go to the fix.

Hi @Protech
Can you please PM us the following so we can add the router to the account:
- The username of the account
- The serial number of the router
- The MAC address on the router (only first 6 characters are needed)
Once we have added this, a factory reset should push the update.
Thanks.

Thanks for the PM @Protech
We've added the details now
As @LaurenB advised above if they carry out a factory reset it should register on our end and the new firmware pushed out within 24 to 48 hours.
If it still hasn't updated after then let us know and we can see if we can get that pushed out remotely

Thanks @MatthewWheeler
I have done the reset twice and waited 48hrs , however the router still appears to be on the ceased list

Hi @Protech,
I have looked into it and I can see that my colleague added a 'colon' into the serial number by mistake which is why it hasn't worked. I have corrected this now.
Please factory reset the router again and it should update within the next 48 hours.
Thank you for your patience.

@laura033 Unfortunately the latest official firmware release also has problems with WiFi, there is a long thread about it in this forum, it has been going on for over a year and is not fixed. Some customers have had test firmware downloaded to them but no final fix has been found yet.

Thanks for getting in touch @laura033
If you've got firmware that old your router's dropped off our hardware management system for one reason or another. Can you send me a PM with your router's serial number and MAC from the label on the bottom of the router?
I'll then get this re-added and after you carry out a factory reset you'll be running on the latest.
