Re: Hub One firmware

Thanks for getting back to me @Deejsay1210

Absolutely I agree you shouldn't have to keep turning your router off and on.

I doubt the issues you're having are anything to do with the firmware or WiFi, because your line seems to be dropping sync.

To confirm does the light on your router change colour by itself?

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.

Re: Hub One firmware

@Deejsay1210 which device are you currently using? The one with serial ending 339, or 993?

Re: Hub One firmware

339 buddy. I have asked when I`ve called for that router to be set as my main / default as I was originally sent another router which made no difference to the specific issues I wanted resolving, so yeah its 339 dude. Thank you.

Re: Hub One firmware

Thanks.
It's going to take another reset of your hub in which case. Don't do anything just yet though as I'll need to make some changes this side first.
I'll let you know once I have...

Re: Hub One firmware

@Deejsay1210 - Please factory reset your hub again by inserting something into the pinhole at the rear of the device until the status light flashes green.

Once reset, your hub will reboot early hours of the morning over the next few days and apply the latest firmware.

Re: Hub One firmware

@Deejsay1210 - I'm not 100% of the cause, however something happened on the 13th that disabled TR069 connectivity on your hub and overwrote the server address it uses to connect to the management platform.

If I had to guess, I'd say it was a support agent fiddling with things. Likely well intended; they probably didn't realise the implications of what they were doing.

Re: Hub One firmware

Yeah, I had actually read somewhere about the server address being different now but obviously that was something outside of what I could alter and put right but thanks for sorting it anyway, much appreciated.

I find things like this fascinating and have learnt alot on my journey, you know, snr, dslams, sync vs throughput, lift n shifts (and now more about the TR69 service).

Dont ask me why I just enjoy things of this "technical" nature 😁👍

Re: Hub One firmware

Thank you Bob for all you've done with my router (including sorting my TR69 issue out),

Unfortunately I seem to have a 'cloud of doom' following me when it comes to internet issues as I've had over 2 and a half months of other connection problems but hopefully these are now coming to a close (seems to have been resolved yesterday).

Thanks again 👍
