Hub One buzzing/hissing noise.

Hi

I have just recently switched from BT fibre to Plusnet. Connection is excellent and speeds are also excellent, but I have noticed that my router is making a buzzing/hissing sound only when running on 5ghz. I have seen various  threads regarding this and it looks like I seem to be having the same issue as others.

Would it be possible that I have been sent one of the faulty routers and would I be able to get a replacement router sent out?

Thanks for getting back in touch. I'm pleased to hear that the replacement router has solved the noise problem.

In this instance we wouldn't require you to return the previous router, so feel free to keep it as a spare or to dispose of it through any local recycling facility.

Guys, if people are encountering this issue, then I'd appreciate the devices are sent back to us at the office for evaluation, rather than blindly RMA'd.

I recognise this is an inconvenience as people will need to cover the cost of postage themselves, but I'd be happy to offer refunds/credit for those who make the effort.

Using the returns bag that comes with the replacement router will result in the device getting sent back to the fulfilment centre, which won't help towards identifying the underlying cause of the problems.

Hi my router is making the exact same noise and have read that many other people have been having the same problems and that its a faulty router? Please could I also get a replacement? It's very loud. Thank you
