Hi,
I just changed over to a Hub One, as expected, everything worked with correct settings. I changed because my last Dlink died.
First, is there a firmware update for this box ? My is showing last updated :
Plusnet Hub One | Software version 4.7.5.1.83.8.237.2.2 | Last updated 15/08/17
My second problem is weird, my last router LAN IP is 192.168.0.1 and all our devices such as NAS and servers are all set to this range so changing them to 192.168.1.xxx range is a no no.
By default the HubOne is 192.168.1.254 as expected because its a BT device, but if I changed the IP to 192.168.0.1, then I can no longer get back into the router, opening the page will show '403 Forbidden' and internet no longer works, (this is after I disabled the NIC so it can refresh and see the new IP range) the only way out is to reset the router and start again, surely this is not normal but whats gone wrong here ? even pinging it should now result, I tried https:// as well as adding :80 to no avail, anyone know what have I done wrong here ?
Thanks

And to clarify you changed the DHCP range and manually entered the new range and also changed the Hub IP Gateway Address?
If it helped click the thumb
If it fixed it click 'This fixed my problem'

I didn't change the range because the .0.1 should not be the assigned range of IPs, DHCP is on, yes, I changed the Hub IP Gateway IP to 192.168.0.1
When rebooted, my PC got assigned 192.168.0.64 which is correct as the DHCP range by default is set to assign from 64 onward, but from here, I can no longer access the router using 192.168.0.1 and got the invalid message.
Should I change the DHCP Network Range to 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.250 for example ? I have set up many routers before but this is the first time I ran into this problem.

If your net mask is the default 255.255.255.0 then 192.168.0.XXX will NOT be accessible from 192.168.1.XXX
A net mask of 255.255.254.0 should however make it visible.
