Ok that makes sense @bobpullen - once I have reset using the pin hole, do you need any information from me (i.e. my Routers MAC address etc - or have you already added my Hub One to the 'activated' list - haha can you see who I am etc without any details?!)

@Boshay did you reset using the pin hole on the back of the router and then restore your config file or did you leave the router at factory defaults?

I tried the physical reset button but it didn't seem to respond, so went in to the Hub Manager and kicked off the factory default reset from there.

It appeared to update in the early hours.

Oh, didn't bother to restore config , thought a clean slate would be a good idea but hadn't changed much apart from device names.

Hi @Boshay thanks for the replies, I reset our Hub One using the pin hole on the back and the LED's went green then reset, left it for a few hours and noticed that the tr069 logs looked different - NOTE the server URL changes and how once the config file was restored at 19:30 (ish) it reverted back to the 'ceased' address??:

What does your tr069 event log look like now it has been updated?

I wonder if restoring your config restored the invalid 'ceased' address.

I didn't restore my config.

I think I reset my hub at around 18:30 and the update occurred around 01:30 the following morning, so maybe try a reset and leave for a day at least, checking to see if the update has been applied?

@Boshay thanks for the log - makes sense that the restored config file put back the 'ceased' server details - annoying to say the least but i'll give the reset another go and leave it at defaults.

 

Appreciate all the help so far - hopefully our Hub One will get it's update in the morning like yours did 🙂

Surely that's wrong - restoring server config shouldn't put back that sort of data? 

So I have to reset my router to factory settings and then manually re-create all the configuration if I want the update process to work?

@bobpullen - can you confirm that restoring user settings replaces the server details for the updates with the ceased server name?

Can't disagree it but does appear to be the only explanation so far.  Interestingly when I tried my first reset a few days ago I restored my config almost immediately and updates continued to fail, only once I reset and didn't restore my config did the updates succeed and pretty quickly too.

I know it just one instance but empirically it appears to be the case.

Hopefully @ChrisaLyd12 can prove it one way or the other over the next couple of days.

@SteveA @Boshay I have since reset my Hub One (again, again!) and have not restored my config and have been monitoring the TR069 logs this evening - I can confirm that my logs are now pointing towards the correct server URL and not the ceased as seen when restoring my config:  ! no updates yet but hopefully it will get pushed overnight - still on 4.7.5.1.83.8.226 (although says that it was updated today - silly thing!)
