Couldn't get some of my older devices to connect after upgrading to full fibre last week . I found that I had to switch off 5GHz signal to get everything I wanted to connect including older wireless switches and Chromecast.
Following advice on here ,I switched back over to dual band, but ,unfortunately this doesn't work as after a while, the older devices have lost connection again !
Currently running with 5GHz signals off - doesn't matter too much currently as I'm only on 74Mb d/l package, so don't need the potential extra speed
However, is there any solution (other than buying a new router! )that allows the bands to be given different network names ?
Seems a retrograde step from previous Hub One.
Fixed! Go to the fix.

The cheapest solution is to use a single channel WiFi extender. These normally have a different SSID, such as EXT added to the hub SSID. Connect your 2.4GHz devices to this.

Great suggestion ! Thanks. I've found a reasonably cheap wifi extender that can be used as an access point with the two networks given different names. I'll maybe give it a go once I'm back from having my hip replaced !

The.other option is to use your Hub 1, Just connect the WAN port to the ONT. Upload using these is limited to about 30Mbps but that won’t bother you on the 74Mbps download service.
