How to setup Remote Management of the PlusNet Hub One Router

 

I want to setup access to my router from remote location so I can be out the office and log into the router web configuration web page

The Hub One is a rebranded Home Hub 5 type A.  As far as I know, it is not possible to remotely access the web interface from an external IP address.

You could install a VPN server, to access the Hub One.

A much simpler solution is to replace the Hub One with a router which does support remote management.

ex-Plusnet (ADSL, FTTC) 2008-2023. now BT (FTTP) 2023-

There is a login for remote management on port 4567 though.  What does this do?  ... and does anyone know what the required username and password are?
