HG162 and Google Nest

I've seen a great post about a member who used this combination successfully and I wanted to know step by step how to set it up, I have got 2 Google nest nodes the main one and a second one .. I bought a HG162 although old now it seems many still like it.

I am going on the fastest fibre in May with plusnet all booked etc

But I want to be ready ... I need to l pw from the phone socket what do I plug in first and next etc in layman's terms

I understand I can't put the hub one into modem only mode hence why I bought a HG162

I Need to use my Google nest mesh as I had to even use it on Virgin Media M200 package to get WiFi where I need it

I only have a small 2 bedroom bungalow and there's only 2 doors and one or 2 brick walls and approx 30 foot max to PC

I can't get PC next to hub and master socket

Please can anyone help so I am ready for installation day

Many thanks

Re: HG162 and Google Nest

When the time comes:

HG162 plugs into phone socket
Google plugs into HG162
User name and password will need setting up under PPPoE https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/6246630?hl=en-GB#zippy=%2Cpppoe

Sadly there isn't much you can do until you go live with fibre.
