General query regarding rebooting.

Recently set up a BT Hub 6 thanks to the excellent info in posts on that topic.

In response to a question regarding saving settings it was mentioned the Hub reboots every 2 weeks.

Do all. hubs reboot that often and if so what happens if you are using it at the time is your connection dropped ?

Apologies if I have misunderstood something as it's a topic I know little or nothing about.

Fix
There was a time (think it might have been a bug) where this was the case for some reason.
However I believe it isn't the case anymore and mine doesn't do that.

Sorry to disagree, on a Smarthub 6 Business Hub at least. I would be interested  to hear if the residential version does do it any more.

Interesting post.

Not sure if I have saved the setting correctly......if not and it reboots I will soon be finding out if,

a) It does reboot every few weeks and

b) if the settings have been saved correctly.

I think it is possible to check if it setting have been saved correctly but as everything is working ok I do not want to mess around with it, for me it's the land of the unknown.

If you look at the log you will note that it does a soft reset every two weeks and a few minutes. I caught it once and I've a feeling that it might not of lost sync in the process (I think that the blue light was on but I had no internet). I could of course be wrong and I caught it just as it was coming back on line, Consequently you might not know until you have a power reset but my guess would be that it saved OK or it would have locked you out by now.
