Faulty Plusnet Router

Hello,

The wired Ethernet ports on my broadband router have stopped working for some reason. I've not changed anything or moved the router, and I know the network streamer that plugs into it works because I've tested on the broadband router of a family member (different house). I've also tried plugging a patch cable in to my laptop; nothing lights up on the port and Windows shows the cable as disconnected. It was working fine until Friday.

Is there anything else I can try?

Thanks,

Re: Faulty Plusnet Router

Are you saying that you can get wireless internet access but all four Ethernet ports have failed?

Re: Faulty Plusnet Router

Contacted support who reset the router, but the problem is still there. Faulty router suspected. The router is out of warranty now (over 12 months) :-(.

Will have to wait for a new contract (with new router) or I'll have to buy another one.

Thanks for the replies.

@broadband_user

 You can get a BT Smarthub 6 for less than £20 from EBay. These are better than Plusnet offerings. Setting instructions are here.  https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Router/Using-the-BT-Smarthub-6-on-a-Plusnet-Account/m-p/1587673#M85...
