using a PC with a static IP Address (configured on the PC through network properties) turn off the Tenda DHCP server before changing to 'bridge mode' to see if that helps.

Much of the configuring should be achievable without a internet connection.

I can't: The Tenda Nova GUI doesn't have DHCP Settings. It assigns or it doesn't assign and there's no config at all. One of the downsides of it being so basic.

The only real 'settings' for DHCP are "ON" when in PPPoE mode, or "OFF" (supposedly!) in Bridge Mode. But there is no actual On/Off button/switch.

When/if this wholoe Mesh system dies, or if I move to a speed faster than my current FF150, then I'll consider upgrading but there are too many upsides to this Mesh system to make me want to get rid of it.

You might of said before, it's a long thread but why do you want to use the Hub two with Access Points rather than using the Tenda as a router?

I don't actually. How it is configured now:

ONT  >wired>  Tenda Nova MW5 Main Node  >wired>  3 x Satellite Nodes  >WiFi>

ONT  >wired>  TNMW5 Main Node  >wired>  'Main' Switch & Clients   >wired>  2 x Switches & Clients

And this is my preferred set-up (due to it being rock-solid for so many years prior to FTTP) and it is working fine. I was just reporting back that when I added the Tenda Nova back into the mix, the whole internet went down. But, this latest issue is unrelated to my initial issue (back on Page 1!) with the Public IP being assigned (fixed by @bobpullen).

Thanks for explaining, not really looked a Tenda devices myself.

Be a bit odd to buy a mesh system then use it in bridge mode, some of the features provided by the router would be lost. I would consider upgrading if you go for a faster connection or start getting WiFi 6 devices.

Hopefully everything will now setting down.
