FTTP Router - WiFi Channel Selection

Just got FTTP Broadband installed and been setting up router for WiFi access.

I notice that there is an option on Channel Selection for "Automatic (Smart Wireless)"

Does this scan frequently for channels and select the best one or does it just do it one, on booting?

Do you mean FTTP not FTTC?

Unfortunately it only does it on booting. It’s also flawed in that it can only find clear channels at the router location, not where devices are used. I use the WiFi sniffer app, WiFi Analyser on an Android phone to find the quietest channel in all locations and select that channel manually.

Thanks, that is what I suspected and will do as you advise.

PS. Yes, it is FTTP as I am on the trial!
