Need to move router (Hub One), adding a 15M extension cable between socket and router
is it better to do
'phone socket -> adsl filter -> adsl extension cable -> router
OR
'phone socket -> 'phone extension cable -> adsl filter -> router
Or doesn't it make any significant difference?

You can get filtered face plates which remove the need for the adsl filter. I used the following back in the day but there are others including one from BT.

Use a good quality extension.

Best solution is to leave the hub by the BT Master scket and run an Ethernet cable (and a mains extension if necessary) to where you need your data port.
Else suck it and see which works best.
