Computer won’t connect to wireless.

I am having trouble connecting to the wireless from my pc. All other devices connect and I have managed to get the computer to connect to a 4g hot spot so I know it’s not the wireless adapter or a driver issue. Also tried the usual unplug and restart solution with no success.

Please someone help this is so frustrating as I’m having to use my phones 4g to connect the pc online and obviously this isn’t ideal.

Regards, Ryan.

Try the following from another of my post. https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Router/Wifi-disconnection-issues/m-p/1790797#M24171

“Point web browser to 192.168.1.254.”

I try this and no webpage loads up

@Ryan88

Open your browser and enter 192.168.1.254 in the address field. Not the search field if you have one. Assuming of course that you are using a Plusnet hub.

Re: Computer won’t connect to wireless.

You’ll need a good connection to your router to be able to access the settings in the router.

As its the wireless you’re trying to fix and that’s not a good connection you may have to plug a laptop or computer into the router using an Ethernet cable

Re: Computer won’t connect to wireless.

@Ryan88

To expand on @Thrall ‘s post. To split the bands you don’t need the hub connected to the DSL socket so you can unplug it from where it is located and move it to your PC to use the supplied Ethernet cable. You can also check whether it will connect wirelessly before moving it back to the BT Master socket.

Re: Computer won’t connect to wireless.

I’ve tried splitting them this hasn’t worked, really stuck on what to do now.
