Hi,
So I have a Plusnet 582n router with various laptops, smartphones, tablets etc connected via Wifi - the usual stuff. I've also got a Chromecast connected and having a Plex Media Server configured on one of the laptops.
I'm finding that over the past few months, the Chromecast AND Plex will regularly drop off the network (probably happens 1-2 times a day). The Chromecast is no longer visible in the Google Home app and the Plex Server also can't be found. All other WIFI devices (laptops, tablets etc) will be fine. The issues are resolved by simply restarting the router, which is a pain and takes ages so I was wondering whether anyone has any experience of this and whether there is anything I can tweak in router settings to resolve the issue.
Here's some settings:
- Dynamic DNS disabled
- Firewall Standard
- UPnP enabled
Any help appreciated.
