Changing IP Address range on router

Got my fibre upgrade.  Got my router.  It connected straight away (which for an old network hand this is a bit creepy!)

Anyway, my LAN runs on 10.0.0.0/24, always has and always will.  However the Plusnet Hub One tells me this is an invalid entry.

So I have two questions.

1.  How do I change it?

2.  Is this a managed hub?  ie.  Do Plusnet gain access to my LAN through this Hub?  If so, it will need to be firewalled, the ISP ends at the BT master socket in my house.

Note: I found another very similar thread but that user choose to change his LAN to suit the Hub.  I don't want to do that.

Thanks,

Paul

Re: Changing IP Address range on router

I'm pretty sure you can't.. as the router is a re-badge homehub which reserves the 10. range for BT wifi/ phon

Getting another vdsl modem/router is likely to be the only solution.

Re: Changing IP Address range on router

Okay.  And as a rebadged BT hub it's a Trojan device with LAN access.

Thus I can solve both my problems by putting it behind a firewall/router which will translate the IP address range with NAT.

Re: Changing IP Address range on router

Why not just ditch the Hub One and use one that suits your requirements? Settings required are here https://www.plus.net/help/broadband/broadband-connection-settings/
