Cannot enter wireless password on my laptop

I recently upgraded my plusnet broadband and rec'd a new Hub One router.

This works fine on all my devices except one.  My laptop will not accept the password on the wireless set up wizard (it accepts numeric but not alpha entries).  Laptop will work with Ethernet wire connection.

I'm not very techy but have checked out web for advice and tried simpler stuff like cut & paste, security settings etc but no joy.

Anyone come across this, have any suggestions or a good help website.

Laptop operates on XP but don't think this is an issue.

Adrian

Re: Cannot enter wireless password on my laptop

What router did you use before the Hub One ?

What is the make/model number of the laptop (It possibly may not support latest wireless security) ?

Refer to the following web link and provide us with more information about the wireless card fitted to your XP laptop.

ie. Wireless Adapter name, and Driver version.

Re: Cannot enter wireless password on my laptop

Can you enter numbers & text on this pc, on other programmes?

If you go into Control panel & select keyboard does anything look wrong here

or give you opportunity to update keyboard drivers?
