Hi,
I've reset/rebuilt my router. I've checked the firewall settings on my account. All was well until a week ago. I've checked an online port checker which has verified my findings.
I am finding ports such as 1194, 8082, 8080 (router management) inaccessible from the internet. however i can connect to "another port" for my home automation fine. I've deleted references in my router and remade them with no success. 8080 is a pretty standard port for management purposes but i still can't get to it. I know plusnet state they do not block ports but i can't see how this isn't the case when i can connect to some ports and not others. I have a static address too, but at least 2 of my ports respond the other useful ones don't.
Plusnet state they don't block ports but they do traffic shape... are they traffic shaping the ports out?

Hi there.
If the broadband firewall on your account is switched off we shouldn't be blocking any ports.
Also we discontinued traffic prioritisation for all Unlimited residential packages about this time last year.
Have you tried port forwarding?

HI, thanks for the reply.
This is what i'm already saying. I have several port forwarding rules in place on my router. 2 work, the rest don't. I can reach them internally no problem. I have rebuilt and reset my router and started adding the rules again. No firmware updates on the router, no changes to my internal infrastructure. All works fine behind the router. only 2 services work from the internet. A port checker online can see my two ports that are working but it can't reach the other ports that aren't. One is a standard 8080 port which should work absolutely fine and does internally but not on the internet.

I've run services on the ports you've mentioned without problems in the past.
Edit: also worth checking UPnP isn't opening those ports for something else without you knowing, they're fairly common.

TP Link. As i've said it all works behind the router on the LAN. None of these are Windows, all linux distros and nothings changed, no firewalls in place. I have found out since that one of the webservers has died. However my VPN still does not reach on port 1194.
