BT discs

I have Plusnet internet and use a BThome Hub 6. Mostly working really well( much better than old Plusnet router). There are still a.couple of dead spots in the house and I am wondering if the bt discs which I have been reading about will help. 

Do they connect easily to router and can they be placed anywhere?
