BT Smart Hub 6 With PlusNet

Hi. I am having issues with my PlusNet HubOne and a number of people have suggested switching to a BT Home Hub.

My provider is PlusNet and want to know if I can buy any BT Home Hub 6 and use it with PlusNet. Some say they are locked to BT only, but others say because PlusNet are a BT company they work with both PlusNet and BT.

I would probably pick up a second hand one from someone. Are these useable once reset?

Welcome to the forums, @SimonRoyal. BT HH6 is compatible with PN - setting/configuration details are on the 'My Router' board, which is where I am going to request this topic is moved.

As @jab1 says, ignore locked to BT warnings, they all work with Plusnet, see https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Router/Using-A-BT-Smarthub-An-Update/m-p/1795292#M24601

Don’t worry about it being second hand, if you follow the instructions linked to the above post it starts with a factory reset, which returns it to the same star as a brand new one.
