Current software is 'BT Home Hub 5 (Type A) | Software version 4.7.5.1.83.8.261 | Last updated 22/09/18'
Using HomeHub as Openreach did not install any fibre modem - connection is via splitter

Hi @athol49
Thanks for getting in touch.
I've taken a look at your physical connection and we're not seeing the drops you've highlighted. As such, I suspect that this may be router related - do you happen to have the original Plusnet router to hand to compare the performance?
Best wishes
Dave

Thanks for checking line sttatus
My master socket does not include the BT Infinity modem as the BT HomeHub 5 includes the VDSL modem and the Openreach engineers rewired my master socket, but did not install or supply a modem
The Plusnet supplied router (Sagemcom Router 2704 Plusnet FTTC) only has an ADSL socket and claims it needs to be connected to the Upenreach modem.

Hi @athol49
Thanks for coming back to me - I agree that the Sagemcom sadly won't work under those conditions.
Given the circumstances, I've arranged for a newer model of router to be dispatched to you for testing purposes - give it a go when it arrives and see how you fare with the drop outs.
Have a great new year.
Best wishes
Dave

Thanks Dave.
When new router arrives, I will definitely test it.
Current Router has rebooted 3 times today - may have to use my 3 MiFi for a few days!
Would have to happen at New year.

New router arrived today 03/01 - Plusnet sent email stating posted @ 02:56 and the Post Office delivered it at approx 15::00.
Plugged in and set up - everything appears to work, but will give it a couple of days and then check logs.

@EmilyD Thanks for comment - looking good so far. Quick check on logs shows only boots were when I was setting up and starting to use router last night.
Letting it run for a couple of days and will check on Monday night.

@Mav I had a second thread 'Remote Administration' in which I queried the large number of Remote Administration attempts in the router logs. Unfortunately, I started my post by mentioning the router kept dropping all connections.
This resulted in you moving the thread (and locking it) as follows
Moderator's note by Mike (Mav): Post released from Spam Filter and locked in favour of https://community.plus.net/t5/Fibre-Broadband/BT-HomeHub-5-router-drops-all-connections-and-reboots/...
This means that I cannot reply to @MasterOfReality and let him know that I found the answer in another thread.
