BT Home Hub with PlusNet ADSL no connection

I have read the many topics here reTonguelusNet ADSL using BT Home Hub, but I cannot find any topics where BT Home Hub fails to connect to the Internet when re-booting the BT Home Hub with valid PlusNet login credentials on the BT Hub. Basically the Home Hub will not connect and continually flashes orange. Are there any additional ADSL settings I need to configure on the BT Home Hub for PlusNet ADSL?

Welcome to the forum. Have you seen this and the following discussion:

Also, are you new to Plusnet? If so there is also the possibility that the connection has not been activated yet.

If you have a  BT Smart Hub 6 that is also covered in later postings in the above topic.

Hi, I have my PlusNet connected and running for some time but when I cut the connection over to the BT Home Hub 5 I just cannot get the connection to connect to the Internet, it just continually flashes orange. I have read all I can find on ADSL connection and BT home hub, but found no helpful info on failure to connect, unless the user name and password is not being sent correctly?

Have you entered your Plusnet username correctly into the hub?   eg.  myname@plus.dsl.net

 

Otherwise, log into the Home Hub 5 and go to Advanced Settings -> Broadband -> Connection

What does it report for Downstream and Upstream ?

If no speeds are reported, check the phone/broadband cable to the hub.

 

If you do see Downstream and Upstream speeds, next go to Troubleshooting menu.

Then click on Event Log.
