Arcadyan Router found

Hello,

I set up a new router after finding many unrecognised devices (after changing password repeatedly) and it has been found by my WiFi monitor Fing as being a Arcadyan router. It has the same IP and my plusnet router.

I rang customer service to ask if Arcadyan made the router as this would maybe explain my wifi scan results. They said they didn't know.

Can any of the customer service team confirm if at any point my router should show up as manufactured by Arcadyan. Is this normal?

Thanks.

Re: Arcadyan Router found

@wilsonshawbeats welcome to the forum.

With a wireless sniffer I see three Arcadyan devices all of which have a BT wireless name, my Hub Two is not shown, but its MAC address does indicate the vendor is Arcadyan

I would recommend using a wired connection to setup any Hub on first connection to the internet. In all cases you should use the wireless name on the attached card.

Re: Arcadyan Router found

@wilsonshawbeats - the OEM for the Hub Two is Arcadyan so I doubt you have anything to worry about.
