Access Control easily bypassed.

I have Plusnet Hub One | Software version 4.7.5.1.83.8.237.2.2 | Last updated 11/08/17

I've setup Access Control to stop those pesky kids using the internet all night.

However, if my daughter changes the name of her ipad she disappears from the Access Control list even though she still has the same MAC address.

Why doesn't the Access Control list work primarily on MAC addresses regardless of the ipad name?

It looks like your daughter is smarter than the BT/Plusnet firmware writers. I agree that it's a massive mistake but I wouldn't put money on it being corrected in a hurry.

Can you set a password on the Ipad to stop her changing that?
