Access Control - did work but now gives "Access Error: 500 -- Internal Server Error"

Technicolor TG582n FTTC 10.2.5.2. FO

I want to set the hours that specific devices have Internet access. For the first few I set it seemed to work fine, but now when I click apply it gives the stated error.

I have removed the device from the access control list and readded it,

I have also restarted the router.

Any ideas anyone?

many thanks

Re: Access Control - did work but now gives "Access Error: 500 -- Internal Server Error"

It never worked properly for me either, from memory if I removed a device from the main network list it has an adverse effect on the block list effectively breaking it.

I now use old routers with DD-WRT to take care of blocking and AP off times!

Check the list here http://www.dd-wrt.com/site/support/router-database  you may have an old router knocking about that you can have a play with and put DD-WRT on which is a very powerfull tool, failing that... see if you can't blag a new router out of plusnet, after all that router is getting long in the tooth!

Re: Access Control - did work but now gives "Access Error: 500 -- Internal Server Error"

Thanks you for your answer - so it sounds like a different router is the way to go...

It's strange that it worked for the first 5 or so devices, but refuses to work for more. Presumably there is a built in shortcoming in that it can only handle access control for a limited set of devices?
