I've had a 3rd party router connected for 4 months or so, everything working fine, but last night it has just stopped connecting. I have plugged in the plusnet one and I'm now online, but if i try to switch to the 3rd party i cant connect again?
Do i need to change any settings or something? has there been a plusnet update to the settings to be able to connect?

It's much much more likeley that an electrical surge in the night has either screwed up your router's settings or killed it altogether.
Have you tried a factory reset on it and tried setting it up again from scratch?
