router not here one week after broadband installation

The guy who installed the phone line and broadband said that plusnet often send out the router to arrive one day after the installation, so I didn't worry. But it's been a week now, and I resent paying for broadband that we can't use! How can I find out where our router is? It gives me the option to start an internet chat- then says there's no one there so try later. The phone lines have a wait of 45 minutes.
