broadband activation out of country

Hi

I am going to be out of the country on my activation date and wont be returning until almost 2 weeks later. Should I disconnect my old fibre router or leave it plugged in. Im worried that whilst i am away errors will get reported as im not using the plusnet router and so my speed will drop? please cna someone advise what i should do. thank you

Re: broadband activation out of country

Hi @zeldaber, thanks for getting in touch

We advise not to set up our routers until you receive the activation text. As you're going to be out the country on the day of activation, I'd advise to leave all routers unplugged until you get back. Once back in the UK, set up our router and you should be good to go. If you then experience any issues with the speed/connection we'll be happy to take a look for you.

Regards
