Will I ever get activated?

So I joined Plusnet at the end of May, phone line was connected yesterday (17/06) and was told broadband would be connected today (18/06) so I’ve waited all day, still no connection, so I phone only to be told that it could take 1 to 2 weeks!! Why the hell was I not kept updated if any problems? Seriously wishing I’d never joined! I’m now being charged for a service I’m not getting and a service phone line) I don’t want! Is it normal from this company?
