Why cant things be easy? New line install gone wrong

So I was due to have my line installed today, but the engineer said that the cabinet is at maximum capacity and they needed send a planning team out to increase the capacity to get my line installed. Apparently he was told the wrong phone pole code or something.
Anyone had this happened them before, and if so how long did it take for everything to get on track? Been waiting weeks since my order for my line install date as it is, don't want to be waiting another few weeks for openreach to get their butts in gear, then to organise another line install date

I am sorry to say the delay is likely to be several weeks.

There will have to be an in depth double check of what is and is not working.

You mention you have experience of this happening before ?

A you in a virgin media area, can they provide service ?

No, never had this happen before, was wondering if anyone else had and how long it took to sort out.

No, virgin media don't cover my area, sadly. Those speeds would have been nice.
The engineer knew what was wrong, there simply wasn't any cabinet space to hook my phone line up to

I've spoken to Openreach and they've advised me that the routing to the distribution point is incorrect. They're sending the order to a pair divert engineer to resolve this. We should know more on the 17th.

Thanks for looking in to this for me. Disappointed it will take that long to sort, though. Then I assume several more week for them to try a line install again
