Do I take it that the router has already been set up with my user name and password?
As long as you hold off in setting the router up until you've received notification that your broadband order has completed, the router should auto-configure itself to our TR069 servers.
Thanks @Gandalf. I'm just a bit concerned about the notification. When my BT internet has been switched off and my PN hasn't yet been set up, then how do I get email notification (I've put my gmx address in my details)? It's a bit catch 22 isn't it? I have added my mobile (old fashioned, phone only) number to my details but I hardly ever have the thing switched on - I just take it switched off when I go out "in case of emergencies" A phone call would be better but your system doesn't seem to include that. I shall have to think on to switch the mobile on, presumably.
