Unlimited Fibre Broadband

I have agreed a new Fibre contract. New router arrived the next day. Excellent .

I was told it would start on 7/1/21. After numerous chats. Still not connected via Fibre.

Latest message: sent to Real time cancellation. I don't understand that, I have not cancelled it

Re: Unlimited Fibre Broadband

Are you moving from Adsl  to fibre ?

If so open reach may need to make some change in the cabinet.....

Re: Unlimited Fibre Broadband

Thanks for your post @BB

I'm sorry for the delay and the lack of proactive communication from us.

I've checked your fibre order and it's due to complete tomorrow before midnight.

Unfortunately it was delayed due to engineer availability in the area.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.

Re: Unlimited Fibre Broadband

26/01/2021. Still no broadband, echat team will respond in 24hrs. This is very poor . PN blaming open reach.

Nearly a month since ordered . May as well stay on basic broadband

Re: Unlimited Fibre Broadband

Hi there, I'm happy to say that the Fibre upgrade has now been completed. The account appeared to be stuck in a "Scheduled Account Change", which has now been nudged through by myself this morning. I can confirm that your services should now be up and running properly. I did try to contact you to discuss the complaint but was unable to get through.

Adam.

Re: Unlimited Fibre Broadband

Fibre up and running eventually.

I don't think that it was worth all the oohah.

Not much better than previous basic broadband.

I got it because I thought it would improve streaming for live sport. No difference noted.

Perhaps a waste of money?

Re: Unlimited Fibre Broadband

What estimated speed range were you given? Have you run a speed test? Try thinkbroadband.com/speedtest

Re: Unlimited Fibre Broadband

The speed is fine, but no difference noted to normal broadband. Not overly impressed. Can't see the benefit.

Re: Unlimited Fibre Broadband

Hi there, thank you for reaching out. Please be advised that fibre speeds can fluctuate within the first 10 working days of service. Please allow this time for the line to become stable. If we're unable to provide you with your minimum guaranteed speed via a wired connection, please feel free to raise a fault with our Technical Support Team.

I hope this helps, Adam.

Re: Unlimited Fibre Broadband

Hi Adam,

Thanks for that. The speed is fine but as I said the results are no better than ADSL
