Purecard activation email not received

I have not received my plusnet purecard activation email and have tried the following

  • visited https://plusnet.purecard.com/ and pressed the activate now button and followed instructions
  • call purecard helpline on 0344 800 6435 and followed instructions.
  • checked my spam/junk folders; there is no relevant email in there
  • web chatted with Siobhan at plusnet to be told it is not Plusnet's problem
  • read the appropriate threads on the plusnet community forum
  • tried all of this 5 or 6 times and wasted 90 minutes

Please tell me how to get my activation code for my plusnet purecard
