Phone line

Just bought a new house and Plusnet was recommended to me so I decided to give it a try. Why did I have to wait two weeks for the phone to be connected even though there was a line already there?

Anyway, two weeks passed and the engineer turned up on time and after checking the line from both ends of the circuit advised that everything was ok and that no further access to the house would be required. He said "The phone should be active in a few hours" as he left. That was 30 hours ago and I've still got no working phone!

Is this the level of service I can expect from Plusnet?

Re: Phone line

Hi there.

I'm sorry to hear your services didn't activate as the engineer expected.

I'm ringing Openreach now and I'll post back here when I know more.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.

Re: Phone line

It looks like further work is required at the exchange and this has been passed to another engineer today.

We're to expect your services to activate by midnight tonight.

Can you let us know how it goes?
