I'm moving into a new house and last night ordered my broadband/phone package. I read on the FAQ that the broadband usually goes live on the day the phone engineer installs the phone line, so I booked the engineer for Friday 14th August as I know I'm off that day and need the internet for the following week.
The date was confirmed today, but when I logged into my account it says the broadband usually goes live 'between 5-7 working days' after the phone rental is installed. Which ones correct? If I'd have known it would be 5-7 days for the broadband to go live I would have booked an earlier engineer date. Plus the billing date is for the 14th of each date so that's a little unfair if my broadband won't go live that day.
Can anyone shed some light on what's likely to happen?
