Pending Broadband Install - Does Engineer have to enter the house?

Hello,

I am due to have my broadband installed at a new property on April 8 and have had confirmation that it would be switched on by the 9th.

I have a potential delay with Completion due to the virus, so not sure I can have access to the house on the day. I can be there, just not sure they'll give me the keys early. Is this a problem - does the engineer actually go into the house?

And is there a way to have the router sent to an alternative address or do I have to keep checking if it's been left on the doorstep?

Thanks in advance for any help.

C

Still can't get through. This is pretty awful for a new customer experience.

Do I delay my order? Can I delay it? Am I expected to pay for a service I cannot use and cannot manage due to being unable to reach anyone at Plusnet?
