I recently signed up for plusnet internet and have an appointment next week. I have just received a text from a number 07800 008118 "Hi, Openreach here! You have an appointment with us to provide your new phone / broadband service on ...... If you're happy to answer a series of 4 questions to help us prepare for this reply back "OFH Yes" or "OFH No" if not. If you can't make the appointment please contact your Communications Provider."

Is this a legitimate text and why are they contacting me?

@Rtag More than likely legit - If they need to enter your home, this will be due to CV19 precautions.

Thanks John, thought that might be the case but could not find reference to the phone number online.
