Open order date - DSL Checker?

Hi everyone.

I'm in the process of changing over from Plusnet ADSL to Fibre. I placed my order on 18th April and according to DSL Checker the order is due to be completed by 8th of May. Now I'm presuming that this could be anytime up to the 8th of May - is this correct? Also, I've not heard anything from Plusnet since I placed the order apart from receiving my One Hub router. Can someone give me a more specific date? It's just that 3 weeks seems rather a long time for a change over. Cheers in advance.

FTTC requires an engineer to visit the cabinet in order to make the connection so the date is dependant on engineer availability. May 8th would appear to be your order date.

Thanks for that, Brian. I'm aware that Openreach have to visit the cabinet. I was rather hoping that 'by the 8th of May' didn't mean 'on the 8th of May' and that I might possibly be connected to the fibre network before that date. 3 weeks is rather a long time. Anyway, I suppose it is what it is and I'll just have to wait.

You could also look at your PlusNet Members page. Login and then see if there's anything showing under "View my Questions" or My Order.

I'm afraid that the 8th of May is the date the order is due to complete on rather than by.

This will most likely be due to engineer availability in your area

Unfortunately there's not much we can do to speed this up, because when we placed the order we requested a completion date of 29/04/2019 which was then pushed back.

Yeah, I did did that last week and it's still saying the same, but no confirmation from Plusnet.
