No phone line connection. Has the engineer even come out?

Hi
I just moved into a new place. The engineer was booked to come out on the 4th. But I got no message to say that they had been. The router light is flashing red and the house phone says to "Check Phone Line". Has the engineer even been out or is there another issue with the line?

I'm sorry to read you've had some trouble with your house move and communication with us hasn't been the greatest during this process.
