No engineer allocated - one hour to go

I have an openreach engineer due to come around today betwee 1-6pm. So far haven't heard anything apart from a reminder and a link telling me they are visiting today.

When they came last week I got a text from an engineer the day before and on the day so I'm worried that something isn't quite right this time.

Is this normal? The lack of planning in advance seems rather strange.

I've checked the order and everything is in place for this afternoon.

Re: No engineer allocated - one hour to go

Thanks, the engineer did come today. The router is set up but there is an orange light and a red b. Nothing I do seems to change this so what's next?

Edit:
I have my laptop connected by the DSL cabel and have the Hub One router controls on Google chrome. I have put the admin password in but on the next part where I put my plusnet username and password I can't progress as it just brings me back to the same page and says "You aren't connected to the internet"

Issue resolved on the phone. The line had not been activated.

Par for the course these days I'm afraid.  Roll_eyes
