No activation date

I'm currently a standard Sky broadband customer, but submitted an order over a week ago to transfer to Plusnet Fibre.

The orders been accepted, my initial payments been taken, but my order status has said:

Activating your line

Broadband orders typically take a week to complete.

..ever since.

I've seen other posts mentioning an activation date, how and when do I find this out?

Thanks

Re: No activation date

Hi there.

I'm sorry to hear you haven't heard about your order yet.

It looks like our automated system failed to put the order through to Openreach. Sad

I'm placing the order now and I'll post back soon.

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.

Re: No activation date

Thankyou.

On the original email, it said that switches take a minimum of 10 working days, does this mean those 10 days haven't started yet?

Re: No activation date

Unfortunately so. It starts from the point we place the order with Openreach.

The 10 working days is basically a notice period for your current provider.

EDIT: It's an Ofcom process, designed to avoid slamming - the unauthorized takeover of lines.
