New telephone number and delayed migration queries

I have recently placed an order, to switch my Home Phone / Broadband services to Plusnet.

During the ordering process, your system informed me that I’d require a new telephone number.

This message has appeared (when switching to other providers) in the past, but my existing telephone number has always ported across successfully.

Further, my current provider (TalkTalk) has emailed in the meantime - to acknowledge my intention to leave, and indicate an anticipated switching date of 9th July.

Would it be possible to please:

1) Ensure that a new telephone number is assigned upon migration (as this would also be my preference)?

2) Delay the migration date until my current contract expires on 21st August (assuming that the deal I signed up for will still be honoured)?

We need to wait for your orders to commit first but once that's been done we'll amend the date for you

Hi Matthew,

I’ve just had an email from Plusnet, confirming the 9th July switch date.

My current contract expires on 21st August, so I would be obliged if you could set the migration date accordingly (when your system allows) and ensure that I get a new telephone number at the same time.

We've had to cancel your order to do this as it's not possible to change the number whilst the order is in progress.

We'll get this replaced for you with the date you've requested

Ok... Will Plusnet still honour the £70.00 cashback click through from Quidco - which was linked to my (now cancelled) order?

Hi @tasutton,

 

I have replaced your orders for you and requested the 21st for yourself. 

 

You will have a new number and this has been provided in your ticket here

 

In regards to your cashback this is not controlled by Plusnet through Quidco. As your account hasn't been cancelled and it just needed your orders replacing for yourself, I do not believe this will cause any adverse effects for cashback.
