New customer waiting for Conection on the 31may

Hi new member here I’m awaiting connection to Full Fiber on the 31st May! Received the Plusnet Router and OpenReach have been and put in trunking from the service manhole outside my property to the edge of my path under the front window, Ready for the next operative to supply and fix the fibre to the property.

what I’m wanting to know is it the same operative that dose the fibre and connects the router inside?

asked support but I’m not sure they understood the question !

@Alshamal   Welcome to the forum.

The agent might understand the question but will be unable to answer it. Installation is not undertaken by Plusnet but Openreach, who provide the infrastructure, or its subcontractors. They will send a technician with the necessary skills who is available on the scheduled day.

From my personal experience, the engineer who installed the fibre into the house would have plugged the cable from the fibre box (ONT) into the router. But I did it myself They stayed around to check my connection was working ok though.
