New customer - still waiting for connection and router

I have recently signed up with Plusnet. After about a week, the status is still showing "checking your line". It is not clear when I will get my router and more importantly when I will get my broadband connection. 

I have tried all helpline and couldn't get hold of anyone to talk to. Any advice on what else I can do aside from just waiting and waiting and waiting with no end in sight.
