New Customer - new installation

I am a new customer, having Plusnet Fibre.  I have not had fibre broadband before.  In emails I have had, it mentions an engineer visit to set up phone and broadband.  Do I need to be at home for this or not?

@martyns1985  If you have a working phoneline (not a Virgin service) there will be no engineer visit to your premises, it is all done by an engineer away from your house at the FTTC cabinet.

@RealAleMadrid I am switching from Sky broadband (not fibre), so from what I understand of your reply the engineer should just need to be offsite?

Fix

@martyns1985  If there is no work required on your telephone line, which as it is a sky service and uses a BT/Openreach copper line, then the switch to fibre does not require an engineer visit to your property.
