New Broadband customer

I have had an engineer out this morning and he said the phone line was fine outside obviously couldn't come in to check inside. I have received the email saying to connect my router and its been 2 hours and still no Internet connection I have tried a phone in the master socket and no dial tone just have a constant green flashing light on the broadband section of the router any help would be appreciated
