Moving broadband/phone service

I took the decision to try Plusnet on Saturday.  I am rather horrified to receive an SMS saying I will be having a new phone no.  I cannot do this.  I have been on the phone for 15 minutes waiting for customer service.  Is this going to be the quality of service I can expect?  Would like to know as I am able to cancel in 14 days.  Very disappointing.

Re: Moving broadband/phone service

Fix

Got through to a helpful person [CSA Removed] who advised that because I didn't put my phone no in when I placed the order, the system gave me a new phone number.  He has now taken steps to correct that and bring my phone order in.

I didn't put my phone number in when I started looking at the possibility because I wasn't sure if I would move and didn't want to be contacted if I didn't.  I would suggest that the website is changed so when the customer does move, it should be made clearer that they will lose their existing phone number.
