Moving Monday still no Router

I phoned to say I was moving house a month ago. Why do Plus Net leave it until a few days before sending it out? What's the sense? It's probably not even been dispatched.

Now I'm unlikely to receive it by then. Useless service.

Can I use my old current router (pretty sure they are sending me the same one?). I'm currently going from a fibre house to a full fibre house if that makes any difference? Will the current router work?

If it is a Hub1/Hub2 -  yes.

In that case, I have no idea why they are sending you a new one.

@Manny90

The only difference is that the FTTP version comes with an extra Ethernet cable for connecting the Hub WAN socket to the fibre ONT in place of a DSL cable.

Will my current one work in the meantime? @Baldrick1

Re: Moving Monday still no Router

If you have an ethernet cable to cat 5e or better, you can use that.

Re: Moving Monday still no Router

I have the 5e cable so I would just plug that in to the router and then in to the open reach connection box rather than the phone socket like currently once I've had the confirmation it's been switched from my current property?

Thanks

Re: Moving Monday still no Router

That is what you would do, yes - BUT only when you are advised that the connection is completed on the OpenReach network, which PN should advise.
