Mixed messages from Plusnet

I signed up to Plusnet on 16 September. A week later I received notice that there was a problem with my phone line and the order had been cancelled. I phoned Plusnet on 23 September and was assured the phone issue had been resolved and the line transfer would be completed within 48 hours. I was also promised that the broadband would be transferred by 30 September or 1 October and I would have my new router by then. However a recent email from Plusnet now tells me that my completion date is 30 October - a full month away! No explanation was given. Is this a misprint? Also I haven't received my router. Please tell me what is going on.
